Concrete actions for women’s day

International Women’s Day is an occasion to celebrate women’s achievements and the many things achieved for progressing gender equality.

However, it should also be a reminder that women still face inequality and injustice in many areas of their lives. The original purpose of the International Women’s Day was to sit down and recognize the issues women face and find ways of to fix them.

While there are many small and large actions one can take to improve equality across the globe, the start might feel overwhelming.

BUT – Luckily, you can get going with the small actions in everyday life!

Here, we collected three action tips to take into account on International Women’s Day to ensure that we don’t forget the true meaning of the day and focus on female empowerment

Action Suggestions!

  1. Amplify women’s voices: We need to ensure that women’s voices are heard and taken seriously in all aspects of life. We can do this by promoting and supporting women’s leadership, whether in politics, business, or other areas. We can also amplify women’s voices by listening to their experiences and amplifying them on social media, in the workplace, and in our personal lives. This can help to create a more inclusive and diverse world where everyone’s voices are heard and valued.
  2. Support women-owned businesses: Women-owned businesses are an essential aspect of the economy, yet they face significant barriers to success. On International Women’s Day, we can support women-owned businesses by making a conscious effort to shop from them. We can also help to promote their businesses on social media and through word of mouth. By supporting women-owned businesses, we can help to create a more equitable economic landscape and empower women to take control of their financial future.
  3. Educate yourself: One of the most crucial aspects of female empowerment is education. We need to educate ourselves about the issues that women face and how we can work to address them. This could involve reading books and articles about women’s history and current struggles, attending events and talks, or engaging in discussions with other people. By educating ourselves about these issues, we can become more informed advocates for gender equality and contribute to the ongoing fight for women’s rights.

So, all in all, International Women’s Day is an important occasion to celebrate women’s achievements, but also recognize the challenges that women still face.

By focusing on female empowerment and taking action to support women, we can work towards creating a more equitable and just world for everyone.

Let’s use this day as an opportunity to educate ourselves, amplify women’s voices, and support women-owned businesses.
