What is grit?

It is passion and perseverance for long-term and meaningful goals.

Why is it important?

Grit gives us a mental toughness that enables us to keep going, and even succeed, when facing difficulties in life.

“Our potential is one thing. What we do with it is quite another.” Angela Duckworth

How can you have more grit?

  1. Have a growth mindset. Success comes from hard work, and challenges will make you stronger in the long run.

  2. Find your purpose. To explain this concept let me tell you a story: “Three bricklayers are asked: ‘What are you doing?’ The first says, ‘I am laying bricks.’ The second says, ‘I am building a church.’ And the third says, ‘I am building the house of God.’ The first bricklayer has a job. The second has a career. The third has a calling. Find your purpose and use it to motivate you to do more.

  3. Continue to practice and improve. Find the hunger within you to learn more and be better every day. When you practice, make sure you focus on the areas that are most important and get feedback on your performance for necessary adjustments.

As we continue our journey to become stronger together, just remember one thing – you can do it!
